The most emblematic photo of the Gironde: The Bassin d'Arcachon

The Arcachon basin is one of the essential places to visit in Gironde. It must be said that it reveals itself in many facets! It is a very specific natural environment, made up of salt meadows and a small inland sea, where you can take surprising shots of wildlife. It is closed by the wonderful peninsula of Cap Ferret, covered with a beautiful forest area and dotted with small fishing ports. But it is also home to seaside resorts and popular tourist areas... In short, there is something for everyone and something to satisfy your desires for nature or family photos!

Squares in series in the mouth of the Gironde

The Gironde Estuary has many stories to tell you. It is the largest in Europe and it is an exceptional ecosystem, which is home to migratory, nesting, rare and common birds… In any case, it can be described as a “paradise for ornithologists”! The mouth also has a rich economic history, ancient trades and traditions. Thus the squares are still today, the most emblematic representatives. Resembling a small hut mounted on stilts, the square is a symbol of the Girondin cultural heritage.

From detail to general, everyone has their own angle of view, but there is real photographic work!
