LES CORDELIERS have been producing sparkling wines in Saint-Emilion since 1892 according to the traditional method, in white and rosé, brut and demi-sec, in the underground cellars of the cloister of the Cordeliers.
The Cordeliers cloister, located in the heart of the medieval city of Saint-Emilion (33), is an architectural masterpiece dating from the 14th century. Listed as a Historic Monument and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the most famous buildings in Saint-Emilion.
Every year, it hosts 700,000 wine tourists within its walls, as well as numerous private events.
20 meters underground, in galleries 3 km long, LES CORDELIERS sparkling wines are produced.
Made from the most prestigious Bordeaux grape varieties and produced according to the traditional method known as "champenoise", LES CORDELIERS wines produce bubbles of extreme finesse and bring out their fruity aromas, all in flavor and lightness.
The estate offers guided tours of these underground quarries which are punctuated by a tasting of vintage cuvées.
The site has a wine, cocktail and spirits bar and offers a catering offer in the form of picnic baskets as well as an artisanal ice cream stand, all to be enjoyed in the shaded gardens.
