      Eco-responsible stays

At Bel-Air Castle, come and spend a relaxing and committed stay in the great outdoors ! Aware of the chance to reside in this exceptional place, we do everything we can to preserve it. Thus, our guest rooms are part of an ecological approach by favoring the use of organic products and/or from eco-responsible agriculture, and this, in many areas!

From the sheets that cover the French-made beds in your rooms to the natural soap that you find in your showers, we pay great attention to the quality and ethics of our services. This is also why our bath towels are made of organic cotton. In this vein, many actions have been implemented at the castle to save resources : LED lighting regulates light consumption, a water collector allows reasoned watering of the park and kitchen composters contribute to the biodiversity of our gardens. while limiting our waste.

Finally, in the heart of a small village, solidarity and mutual aid are two strong values that punctuate the daily life of its inhabitants. We are committed to strengthening the local economic fabric while revitalizing the territory! And for that, what could be more obvious than to favor local producers to delight you at any time of the day?

      THE HOUSE

      The Building

Bel-Air Castle is a bourgeois house, erected in 1648. An architectural style in vogue in France between the 17th and 20th centuries. Today, these old buildings are easily recognized by their rectangular shape designed on two floors and their unfailing steps.

The 400m2 residence has survived the centuries, welcoming generations of winegrowers in turn, without ever losing any of its authenticity. Bel-Air Castle is a castle of character. In 2022, it welcomes for the first time in its long family history, guest rooms. Of course, arrangements have been made to offer you the comfort and tranquility of a prestigious stay. On the other hand, the soul of the building has been preserved as it is. Our goal is that this incredible heritage continues to be passed on! So that, for many years to come, the heritage of the Castle will continue.

With these large spaces, you will feel free and relaxed. Free to frolic on the 5000 m2 of the wooded park or to enjoy the sun on the large 60m2 terrace facing it. It is within this exceptional natural setting that the interior of the Castle has been refurbished. From now on, the volumes are completely decompartmentalised. In the common living room of 70m2, a table d'hôte in cherry wood with a white marble top awaits you to have breakfast. It was designed by the French designer, Sacha Lakic.

      The charm of the old

The most majestic architectural element, and also the one to which we are most attached, is undoubtedly our stone staircase. As elegant as it is essential, it is the one that will lead you to your suite, all located upstairs. In keeping with the style of the time, the traditional crystal ball adorns the wrought iron banister. It is the retro decorative object that you cannot do without at the Castle. Looking up, you will no doubt have seen the many moldings that decorate the ceilings. Coquetry of the last centuries, we have had them all restored. Finally, Dominique Monié, a restorer in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, has covered the woodwork of our old mirrors with gold leaf.

      Contemporary comfort

Passionate about decoration and design, we love to combine modernity with the old. At the castle, you can find many pieces by renowned designers, such as the famous translucent chairs in recycled plastic by Philippe Starck or the lamps by the Italian brand Kartell. But also Louis XVI-inspired armchairs, made in France by the artisans of Collections Paget. Covered with a fabric signed Christian Lacroix , they are the figurehead of our enthusiasm for mixing styles!

      Our exceptional rooms

Bel-Air Castle is a prestigious accommodation. Four exceptional guest rooms are available to you all year round, for one night, one week or even one month! From 25 to 60m2, several room sizes are available, and above all, several atmospheres : Charm, Romantic, Emotion and Prestige. Discover them and select the chosen one for your sweet nights!

We were 4 people for New Year's Eve on December 31, 2023 and thought we would end the year in a very pleasant way but we were in the corridor not even a chair for each and no table. At the beginning we ate with our fingers, imagine also cutting a piece of capon in sauce on our knees... Of course no champagne at midnight since you had to buy it for €45 a bottle In fact we paid €160 per person for an evening in the hallway, fortunately Marie Electra created a good atmosphere and the staff was competent and attentive to our needs.

Gastronomic getaway stay, in the Charm suite Exceptional, unforgettable moment!!! It was ROYAL! Magnificent site, a place of captivating & chic charm, like the owner who gave us a warm & courteous welcome 👌 The meal, prepared on site by the Chef, is a festival of flavors! The castle's wines are excellent. We appreciated the colors of autumn . We will come back to enjoy the terrace next summer. We highly recommend!

A Saturday where everything could have been magnificent. I was invited, the setting and the concert with Linda Lee Hopkins were perfect but in terms of the organization and the service, it was a disaster! Around 90 place settings, whether you arrived at 7 or 8 p.m., we were all served at the same time and very late: the appetizers at 9:15 p.m. and the meat at 10:30 p.m. A Bazas entrecôte was planned but we had 3 thin slices of beef with nerves on certain pieces, same cooking for everyone! The wait was so long that we were given free bread and champagne between the starter and the meat because it was so long! The coffee was supposed to be accompanied by its sweet treats, it arrived alone! From the aperitif, there was no more red wine (€29 per bottle). When the doors opened 15 days before, there were already no more. All these inconveniences should have been anticipated by serving arriving customers as they came. The poor waiters (too few for 90 seats) couldn't take it anymore and the cook was on the job! They did what they could. 55€ per meal payable in advance for an interminable wait conducive to annoyance. €55 for a meal that did not correspond to that planned on the reservation flyers and paid in advance. Luckily we had Linda Lee Hopkins! Disappointing, I hope that the next evenings will be better organized 🙄
