Not far from the Garonne , on the northern outskirts of Bordeaux , in the municipality of Bruges, the Nature Reserve of the Marshes of Bruges is a preserved ecosystem within the great Bordeaux agglomeration. The purpose of the reserve is to preserve the last vestiges of the great marshes of Bordeaux and Bruges as they are.
