The Tidal Bore is a large wave that forms with the rising tide and goes up the river. It is a rare phenomenon that requires the meeting of a set of conditions to occur. In Gironde, you will have the chance to contemplate it between June and October. The size of the waves varies depending on the coefficient of the tide and the strength of the wind. It is an event eagerly awaited by sportsmen, board sports enthusiasts who can really "live" this unusual experience. If you are a simple observer, we advise you to go as a priority to Saint-Pardon, a site classified as “Natura 2000”. You will also be able to see it in Saint-Macaire, on the port of Asques, in Tressac… Remember not to go down too much on the banks so as not to be surprised by the rising waters.
