    • Discover the charm and authenticity of the Libourne region with our original guided tours. Whether you're a history buff, a street art fan, a nature enthusiast, or a lover of local wines and produce, our tours are designed to offer you a unique experience.

      • From May to September, visit the Libourne region from the water by embarking on a discovery cruise. Book your activities in the Libourne region online (tourisme-libournais.com) and learn about the region's natural and cultural heritage. Our tour guide will tell you all about the region's history and biodiversity, in the heart of a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to encounter the tidal bore, a rare and spectacular natural phenomenon!
      • In July and August, you can book a classic guided tour of the Bastide de Libourne, on request from Béatrice, our tour guide. Immerse yourself in the history of Libourne, founded in the 13th century, as you wander through its picturesque lanes, its Place Abel Surchamp and its arcades, its Tour du Grand Port (a vestige of medieval fortifications), its town hall and its sublime Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste (which contains a treasure you'll be amazed to discover).

Looking for something a little more unusual?

In July and August, the Tourist Office also offers (subject to the availability of our tour guides) unusual guided tours "Quand le Street Art s'invite à Libourne", where you can discover the open-air museum that colors the town.  A "gourmet stroll" to explore Libourne's huge market and meet local producers.

Or night-time guided tours from 8pm to 10pm (subject to the availability of our guides), if you like to be told about the places you're exploring, while the streets are calm and serene, your guide will tell you about the buildings associated with civil, military, political and religious power.  If you're thirsty for culture, our guide Isabelle is your best antidote!

A few kilometers further on, discover Guîtres and its abbey church. Again in July and August, it's open to the public between 2pm and 6pm.

This majestic and impressive Romanesque monument has a special feature that you're sure to love! It has a roof in the shape of an inverted ship's hull (which you can climb on a guided tour). This amazing church is considered one of the largest in Gironde, and is well worth a visit.

The Libournais region is also magical in winter, and from late November onwards, come and enjoy the Christmas magic of Libourne, THE official city of Santa's Secretariat, with a whole new perspective! As you follow your guide on an enchanting tour of Libourne, you'll learn all about the many anecdotes surrounding Christmas. You'll then be able to discover the many activities on offer: carousel, ice rink, Christmas market, Santa's house and mapping projected onto the façade of the town hall.

There's something for everyone in the Libourne region, so don't hesitate to contact us or book your visit at www.tourisme-libournais.co

Aline and her team were very useful to me today. Aline rang ahead and attempted to book for me, with very good English. I appreciated her knowledge of the local area and very good communication skills. The office was stocked with great postcards and maps for cyclists. All in all a 5 star experience 🙏🙏
