  If you want a glimpse of what it feels like to be in a coffin at the moment of death, this hotel is for you. To put it bluntly: this goes far beyond the concept of "small space" and is clearly a "claustrophobic experience." In Italy, this wouldn't even be allowed: hygiene standards require at least 9 square meters per bed, while here they manage the feat (I don't know how legal this is elsewhere, but it's certainly debatable) of cramming four people into about 8 square meters. More than a room, it's an experience worthy of a cattle farm. If you're traveling alone, you're assigned to a dormitory with 4 to 12 beds, with strangers you don't know: there are those who snore, those who pass gas, those who swear, those who want to escape. The so-called beds are actually more like wooden niches: once inside, you quickly realize that turning over is a luxury, looking to the side a distant memory, and lifting your head a pure illusion. After a few minutes, you start negotiating with the available oxygen, and you don't always win. Air circulation doesn't penetrate these niches. Going outside to use the toilet becomes a maneuver worthy of an emergency evacuation in extreme conditions. Speaking of the toilets: they are communal, located in the corridors, far from the dormitories, and—at least from what I observed—not cleaned with the frequency such an establishment would require. At night, it's best not to ask too many questions. The model is obvious: maximize profit by compressing human space below any legal minimum. An 8-square-meter room with four beds easily costs around €140 in total: practically the price of a good hotel in the city center, with the difference that there you can breathe, have a private bathroom, and a receptionist available if anything goes wrong. Another critical point: cleanliness. One immediately wonders how it's possible to properly remove and change mattresses and sheets in such cramped spaces. The answer, unfortunately, seems to be: with difficulty. And the result is noticeable; just inspect the space between the mattress and the alcove. In short, it's a conceptually flawed project. It's not just a question of comfort, but of basic dignity in the stay. Traditional hostels with bunk beds are far better: at least the air circulates, you can move around without planning every action, and, above all, you don't feel like you've been herded into a room.
