A very large tree climbing park...

Tree climbing, you know, don't you? No, you don't know. Forget everything you've seen. Bassin Aventures is a unique and breathtaking park! In this pretty pine forest, located in a dynamic leisure area in the heart of the Bassin d'Arcachon, there is no doubt that behind the entrance are hidden 26 tree climbing courses. Not 26 platforms, no. 26 courses each with several platforms, zip lines, monkey bridges, nets, tunnels, rides on skateboards, surfboards, bicycles, boats and even a weightless scooter... More than 300 games to explore with a point of thrill, from 2 to 17 meters from the ground, always safe thanks to a harness, a continuous lifeline and a fantastic team of qualified guides to encourage you.

Bassin Aventures is a very nice idea, born in 2007, that David Brejoux and his team of 4 enthusiasts took up in 2013 and made it grow. Today, a visitor clearly does not have enough of a day to do all the routes present in the park. It's hard, but we'll have to choose!

A thrill, but always well supervised by qualified instructors, in orange!

  • From 3 years old, you do n't need a harness, you just need to take your courage in both hands to embark on one of the 4 courses of the Espace Grimp' park. From 40 cm to 1m from the ground, under the eyes of parents, children are deliciously afraid (at this age we are afraid of nothing!). There are zip lines, rolling games, sliding games, obstacles, things to climb or to cross on all fours… It's like the classic tree climbing, but mini thumb version. Perfect for ages 3-12 (even older kids love it).

  • From the age of 5, we embark on one of the 4 yellow courses (it's like skiing, have you noticed?). A course is on average 20 minutes of walk from platform to platform, in the trees (maximum 2.5m in height).

  • From 7 years old, head for the 4 green courses! We climb a little more (up to 4m) and the games require motor skills, sometimes a little ingenuity and flexibility. We have fun, always well strapped in our harness. Rope bridges , swings… we test the laws of gravity!

  • From 8 years old, the 5 blue courses are open to adventurers who feel able to climb up to 8 m in the trees! It now takes 25 minutes per route.

  • From 10 years old, the 3 red courses give pride of place to zip lines. We set off with a little apprehension, before roaring with joy and looking for the next one, to start again quickly! It will take 35 minutes of sport per course, ready?

  • From 12 years old, it's serious, we attack the 3 black courses... We go up to 17 m in height (do not look down) and the platforms become physically demanding in addition to being very fun, a real challenge of Tarzan (and Jane)!

The courses for children, without harnesses, are well done and easy to use, they all start with a small hut, then just follow the path of the games.

Once the harnesses are installed by one of the instructors, we listen attentively to the explanations and we train on a test course, before being dropped on the big ones, the real ones!
Yellow Trail Adventures Pool
We always start with an easy course, to familiarize ourselves with the system of the lifeline, the pads to pass from game to game and to estimate its vertigo... Here, everything is fine!

The great advantage of Bassin Aventures is that the courses are designed to be done independently. When a climber arrives, we equip it with a harness and we explain to him in detail how to move his lifeline, move the carabiners, install his zip line... There is no mistake, the cables do not. 'allow the carabiners only in the direction that is appropriate. Ziplines are very easy to initiate and children, even from 5 years old, can circulate on their own on the courses. The little adventurers go from course to course roaring with happiness, the most reserved need the help of parents... And in case of problem? They are there, everywhere, all the time: the Bassin Aventures team comes to the park, ready to help you whenever you ask for them! They are qualified instructors and, moreover, the park benefits from national education approval, to accommodate schools and leisure centers!

And many other activities to do on site

You will notice that many people are not equipped with harnesses, it is because there is not only tree climbing to do at Bassin Aventures. You can also come, accompanying a person to enjoy a pleasant day outdoors. On site, a quality snack restaurant offers hot or cold sandwiches, salads, formulas (which are also suitable for vegetarians) and a choice of drinks and sweet treats, very pleasant at tea time!

Do you like challenges, are you athletic and want to test your endurance? Bring your sneakers and your sportswear to compete in the Nina Run!! Inspired by Ninja Warrior, it's a race with 12 obstacles to overcome as quickly as possible, from 10 years old (with good physical condition…). You must not put one foot on the groundclimbing wall, crossing, jump, balancing on a rope, ladder, ramp… Will you be faster than your opponent? Two courses are next to each other, to finally find out who is the best trained!

Do you like treasure hunts? Riddles and riddles? Intellectual and athletic at the same time, orienteering is a fun and cultural sport. We document ourselves and we work our brains while walking in the forest. There are 3 different routes with 20 markers scattered throughout the Bassin Aventures park. A great opportunity to have fun in a small group!

    Snack Adventures Pool
The Bassin Aventures snack bar is in the forest, above you, climbers circulate on the courses! The meals are simple, but invigorating and very good.

Did you do it all? There are still two thrilling attractions to discover... One to get laid and the other to jump into the void... The Giant Catapult is 3G of acceleration in a few seconds. Firmly anchored to the ground, the rope is cut and rubber bands propel you to a height of 20 m. You barely have time to admire the landscape that you have fallen back!
The Quick Flight is the opposite, at a height of 12 m, will you be able to catch the banana before falling? Or would you prefer to take a plunge into the void? Free fall sensation guaranteed before being caught (obviously!) By a rubber band, very soft!

Organize your visit to Bassin Aventures

    • Bassin Aventures is open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., reservations are not necessary and during the summer, evening events take place on Wednesdays. The park is open roughly from April to November, depending on school holidays!

    • For locals, year-round formulas are available: it is a very good idea to come and return and thus enjoy all the routes during the season and especially outside of school holidays, when attendance at the park decreases.

    • For groups, Bassin Aventures offers many very interesting formulas, with adapted prices. For groups of school children or in summer camps, for bachelor parties, birthdays... think about it!

    • You can buy fine gloves on site, to protect children (and adults) from mimines, it is not essential (we spent the day without), but it is more pleasant. You can bring your own of course!

    • Lockers are available to store your belongings, with a deposit of 1 euro. Do not hesitate to bring the picnic, but keep it with you and not in the locker which is collected only at the end of the day.

    • Remember to bring a cap in the summer (even if you will be often under the trees), water and sunscreen! And above all… Come in sports shoes , no flip flops!
