    • Owners since 2014, Thomas and Pélagie welcome you to the Campsite of the Old Castle in Rauzan in Gironde in a calm and green setting at the foot of a medieval castle, which gives magic to the place.

Independent campsite, Member of the association of Campsites La Via Natura, the site is labeled "Camping Qualité", "Qualité Tourisme" and "Vineyards and Discoveries".

35 km from Bordeaux and 13 km from Saint Emilion in the heart of Bordeaux vineyards, this charming campsite n 'is only 200m from the village accessible on foot by the covered way. It is an ideal central point for discovering the many activities of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (Bordeaux, Arcachon, Bergerac, the Dordogne, the Dune of Pilat…).

In a 2.6 hectare park, the large semi-shaded pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are appreciated by holidaymakers who can rest quietly and enjoy nature.

We spent a week at this campsite while touring around for the Rugby World Cup and absolutely loved it! The owners are so kind, friendly and helpful. The toilets and showers are kept spotlessly clean all the time. The pool was perfect. There is a tiny little shop and bar in the campsite that has so many useful things to sell. Rauzan is only a 5 minute walk away and has a little supermarket, a bakery and a butchers. We spent a lot of our time chilling out at the campsite during the day as it was such a lovely place to relax. We would love to stay here again the next time we travel in France!

Good site, great ammenities and staff and close to nearby village with great views and cycle/walk opportunities. Typically for a forest site, can be plenty of insects around so not for sitting outside if your prone to getting insect bites, except by the pool. A little off the beaten track but 45 mins to bordeaux and plenty of choice for wine tours and tasting.

Excellent campsite all round - great facilities including lovely hot showers. Friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We wanted to visit Bordeaux so staff (Thom?) suggested a Park & Ride and how to get there. This worked out really well - it took about 40 minutes to drive to the Park & Ride and there were frequent trams into the city centre. All very easy.
