Nestled in the wooded grounds of Marie-José and Pascal's property, the Une Estacade gîte in Espiet is a self-contained accommodation for 1 to 4 people, ideally located for exploring the Bordeaux vineyards. Separate from the main house, this gîte in the Entre-deux-Mers region offers complete independence in a rural setting, with the option of occasionally enjoying the hosts' table or the shared spaces of the house. It's a particularly suitable option for couples on a wine tour, small families, or cyclists exploring the Roger Lapébie cycle path, just 1 km away.

A fully equipped cottage for 1 to 4 people

The cottage comprises a sleeping area with a double bed, a living area with a two-seater sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchenette (two-burner gas hob, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, and everything needed for cooking and dining indoors or outdoors), storage space (built-in cupboard and wardrobe), and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. It also features reversible air conditioning and a television. Bed linen and towels are provided upon arrival. Rates: €120 per night for 4 people, €70 for 2 people, and €30 per additional person (tourist tax included). Minimum stay: 2 nights. Upon reservation, guests can join the owners for dinner : €30 for adults (starter, main course, dessert, wine, coffee, and a local homemade aperitif) and €15 for children.

A natural setting with access to the property's amenities

While the cottage is fully self-contained, guests have access, upon request, to all the amenities of the house : a covered swimming pool, a billiards room, a ping-pong table, a pétanque court, an elliptical trainer, a lounge, a reading corner, and an office with Wi-Fi. The 3,000 m² grounds offer ample shaded areas for al fresco dining and relaxation, with parking on the property and a secure bicycle garage. Children can use the swimming pool under parental supervision. Pets are welcome under certain conditions after prior discussion with the owners (two dogs live on the property: an Australian Shepherd and a Border Collie). Smoking is permitted outside the buildings.

The gîte's location makes it a strategic starting point for exploring the South Gironde and the Libournais region. The Roger Lapébie cycle path, a legendary greenway between Bordeaux and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, is just 5 minutes away. La Sauve Majeur and its UNESCO-listed abbey are 8 minutes away; Créon and the Dordogne River at Branne are 10 minutes away; and the medieval village of Saint-Émilion and the town of Libourne are 15 minutes away. Bordeaux wine lovers will have access to the prestigious estates of Entre-deux-Mers, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol. For thrill-seekers, Lake Espiet (also known as Terres Blanches) offers wakeboarding and waterskiing just 2 minutes away. Note: Marie-José and Pascal offer a pick-up service from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport or Saint-Jean train station upon request—a convenient option for travelers without a car.
