    • Château Tour Pourret, charming gîte in a wine estate château 1 km from Saint-Émilion

What if you could sleep in a château in the heart of the Saint-Émilion vineyards ? Just 1 km from the UNESCO-listed medieval town, the Château Tour Pourret gîte offers one of the most unique accommodation experiences in the Libournais region : spend the night on a Grand Cru organic wine estate, with views of the vines and access to all the wine tourism activities the estate has to offer. Visitors can also find Celene Crémant de Bordeaux sparkling wines, produced in the Entre-deux-Mers appellation, another property owned by the Lannoye family. The accommodation is ideal for couples on a romantic getaway as well as groups of friends or families wishing to explore Saint-Émilion and the Libournais region from a charming base. It holds the Vignobles & Découvertes (Vineyards & Discoveries) and Accueil Vélo (Cyclists Welcome) labels and is a winner of the Best Of Wine Tourism award in the Gastronomy category.

A 3-bedroom cottage located in the castle

The gîte occupies part of the castle and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people in 3 double bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a television, and a dining room for sharing meals with family or friends. Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a second separate bathroom and a separate toilet. Linens, Wi-Fi, heating, and air conditioning are included. For your convenience: parking is available in front of the property, and you can check in yourself using the key box or be greeted by the staff during the shop's opening hours. The gîte is open year-round, and the castle terrace remains accessible at all times, including in the evening after the daytime visitors have departed.

A terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Saint-Émilion way of life

The gîte 's greatest asset is its immersive location in the heart of a working vineyard. The shared terrace offers a direct view of the vines, perfect for an aperitif of Celene sparkling wine at sunset or breakfast in the first light of dawn. The château is situated on the edge of the D243, a quiet road at night, guaranteeing a peaceful stay. For shopping, Saint-Émilion and its shops are a 1 km walk through the vineyards, and the Roger Lapébie cycle path is just a few minutes away for those who want to cycle to Bordeaux. Charm and conviviality are the key words for a stay here, in a family atmosphere far removed from standardized hotels.

An ideal base for exploring Saint-Émilion and the Libournais region

Beyond accommodation, a stay at Château Tour Pourret offers privileged access to the estate's wine tourism offerings: tours and tastings of the organic Grand Cru, private cooking classes in the château's kitchens, cocktail workshops featuring Celene sparkling wines, gourmet breaks, or private raclette parties during the winter season. The location is ideal for exploring the region: the medieval town of Saint-Émilion is 1 km away, the Tour du Roy and monolithic church are 1.4 km away, the Cloître des Cordeliers is nearby, the fortified town of Libourne is 5 km away, and Pomerol and its Grand Cru vineyards are just a short drive. A strategic starting point for discovering the most iconic wines of the Libournais region.

Very nice experience with a visit to the vineyards and tasting even though we didn't have a reservation. Excellent 3 reds and the cremant, I found it with a magnificent color and perlage.
