Lively and dynamic, this square in the heart of the city attracts visitors with its terraces, boutiques and cafés, making it an ideal place to stroll, shop or have a drink (of Bordeaux wine, of course). Built under Tourny's stewardship in the 18th century, just like Bordeaux's emblematic gates, it was then called Place du Marché Royal, and features gilded limestone flagstones and Luis 15 facades.
