Gujan-Mestras is a commune in the Bassin d'Arcachon, just 45 minutes from Bordeaux. Ideally located about ten kilometers from Arcachon and 25 minutes from the ocean beaches of La Teste de Buch. Gujan-Mestras is a nature destination, made up of 7 ports and a 7km coastline that can be followed by the coastal path. This path will allow you to discover our oyster ports, our marina and the beach of La Hume. On the program for this walk, exceptional views of the Bassin d'Arcachon, discovery of the local fauna and flora and why not a gourmet break in one of the many tasting huts that mark out this route. Take advantage of a stop at the Maison de l'Huitre, to discover everything about the oyster and the history of oyster farming in the Bassin d'Arcachon.
In addition, Gujan-Mestras has several remarkable natural spaces, such as the Parc de la Chêneraie, along the path you will discover a rich and varied flora, inhabited by discreet fauna. Magdeleine Lake, an ideal place to spend good times with the family: playground, picnic tables, mini-port, donkey rides... La Hume beach, lined with tamarisk and frank claws this beach changes face with the rhythm of the tides and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Bassin d'Arcachon. Labeled Handiplage 2, it offers equipment and services adapted in summer.
Gujan-Mestras is also a family destination with the Bassin des Loisirs area where you can find many leisure parks.
