I was quite disappointed with the Novotel Merignac in Bordeaux. We had really looked forward to staying at the Novotel Merignac. For the past 25 years, we have stayed at the hotel almost every year with the whole family, until about five years ago. We always go on holiday from the Netherlands to Spain in the summer and use the Novotel Merignac as a stopover. After five years, we were looking forward to staying at the Novotel Merignac. After five years, we were looking forward to staying at the Novotel Merignac. We had made a long drive of 1300 km from southern Spain. This was unfortunately a disappointment, and we must conclude that the quality of the Novotel Merignac has deteriorated significantly. The restaurant has been outsourced to a third party. We saw many young families with children being turned away to eat outside the hotel. There was no option to reserve a table at a specific time. There was also no email to warn us in advance that eating in the restaurant would be a problem. To our surprise, people were given a table after several families had just been turned away. We're not used to this kind of service from a Novotel. Another reason we've been going to this Novotel for years is that it has a secure parking facility. To our surprise, the gate was open and remained open all night. In summary, Novotel Mérignac no longer offers the service it did a few years ago. Therefore, we will strongly consider choosing a different hotel next year.

rooms are very tired (which we can accept) our room was very dirty would not stay here again

Air conditioning not very effective with 40 degrees outside. Large room with separate toilet. Slippery bathtub. Pleasant view of the park. Free parking, pleasant pool. Very average welcome.
