A lovely bar and restaurant just as you step off the train at Sainte Foy la Grande. Small and main plates served with a choice of wine sizes from the glass, carafe or bottle. Inside our outside seating options too. The tempura crudités were a delight.

Some initial problems with arrival time as it clashed with the World Cup Final.... France won! We checked in eventually at 8pm and Marie helped us with a reservation at le s stromboli restaurant. So all was well. A clean, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast under 7 euros. What more do you need? Thank you. If we are ever around this part of France again, we will return.

We ate at the restaurant before our train. Superb food and staff were very professional.
