- This User Forest of Teste-de-Buch allows the inhabitants of the surrounding municipalities to provide themselves with firewood. It was also used for traditional gemmage, that is to say, the removal of resin from pine trees. You will still see typical cabins and some “bottle pines”, vestiges of this practice. It therefore combines management, assimilated to forestry, to recreational use, particularly for hiking. If its maintenance is optimized, its regeneration is however natural. In addition, it is a very old forest, about 2000 years old! It is part of this large forest massif of the Landes de Gascogne. You can therefore visit this natural site, respecting the marked paths and cycle paths.
