La réserve naturelle des Prés Salés d'Arès et de Lège-Cap-Ferret Nature Reserve in Lège-Cap-Ferret

  • English
    • The Pres Salés Arès-Lège Nature Reserve is located at the entrance to the Cap-Ferret peninsula , in the Arcachon Basin. Its purpose is to protect the specific environment of the Prés Salés. These are the largest salt meadows in Aquitaine. They are particularly interesting because they encompass different environments: salt meadows, mud flats, forests… and therefore have a great biodiversity in terms of flora and fauna. On the coastal path that connects the two municipalities of Lège-Cap-Ferret and Ares, you can observe a multitude of birds, nesting or migrating, Cistude turtles, European otters ... If you want to make the most of of your discovery, we advise you to book a guided tour.

Far from the maddening crowd- this pathway by ancient waterways made a pleasant diversion. A snack at the cafe completed the afternoon!
