    • Perched on the heights of Saint-Emilion, Château de Ferrand Grand Cru Classé is a historic and family property of 42 hectares including 10 hectares of parks, woods and meadows.

Always committed to a search for environmental balance, this Grand Cru Classé is certified Terra Vitis, HVE Level 3, ISO 14 001 and is in the process of organic conversion since the 2021 vintage, with a first certified vintage expected in 2024.

Wine, Architecture, Gastronomy, Contemporary Art… Château de Ferrand is today a place where the arts mix. Like the private family collection BIC Art in Ferrand exhibited in the castle.

Here, Hospitality is established as a fundamental value, an art of living. Completely renovated in 2019, the castle offers a warm and unique setting to our visitors. The new Ferrand could be visited, better: it can be experienced.

Throughout the year, the château’s sommeliers welcome you to the property for a visit and tasting, a workshop or a Masterclass. Experience an exceptional moment around wine with one of their 6 experiences.

      • The Revelation - After a visit to the estate, discovery of two commented vintages. Then, the surprise of a vintage tasted blind.
      • Maxi Format – Ferrand’s style flourishes in large formats. Visit to the estate, then tasting of two vintages and a great vintage in magnum.
      • Private tour, a tailor-made experience - After a private and personalized tour of the property, continue your experience in the heart of the castle for a tasting of 4 vintages.
      • The Art of Sustainable Vine - Because respect for the soil and the environment is a priority in Ferrand, they invite you to discover this unique ecosystem, during a workshop dedicated to the management of their vineyard. After a detailed presentation of the vine cycle and the work carried out in the vineyard, head to the cellar to highlight their winemaking techniques. Then discover the wines of Ferrand through the tasting of 3 vintages.
      • Make your assemblage - Château de Ferrand invites you to discover the art of assemblage. Accompanied by the sommelier, taste the different grape varieties and educate your palate to make your own blend. A special moment where curiosity and concentration go hand in hand.
      • The Sommelier Masterclass - Discover the profession of sommelier thanks to this Masterclass led by one of the château’s sommeliers! After a private tour of the property you will enjoy a vertical tasting of 6 vintages of Château de Ferrand. All accompanied by three refined appetizers created by their Chef to introduce you to the art of food and wine pairing.

Would you like to extend the Ferrand experience? Discover the secrets of this Grand Cru Classé during a lunch or dinner at the Table Privée, a professional or private event or even a night in one of the three rooms of the château.

We stopped by Chateau de Ferrand for a tasting and tour of the vineyards. I was a little disappointed by the lack of wines we tasted. The tour started out pretty nice, we saw the vineyards and got to visit the storage facilities. Very impressive the size of the entire Chateau. Not much history was revealed either. . Just basic information was given. Once we got inside of the Chateau a quick glance at the bottles and vats where the wine was stored. The tasting only included 2 wines and they reused the same glass. What made this Tasting a huge disappointment was how long it took to get there. It seemed they weren’t ready for our group as 5 employees stood around waiting for someone to say something. I was shocked and surprised they used the same glass twice without cleaning. No food or snacks were served as well. At the end of the tour they seemed more interested in trying to sell items from there gift shop. Very disappointing as I know of this Vineyard and was excited to come visit. The history and beauty of this Chateau is very impressive. Too bad the tour guide was lacking luster.

Anna provided us with an amazing tour. She was knowledgeable about the property, the wine, and the different methods undertaken during the harvest. We're already planning a return visit with friends and family!
