  The tour was phenomenal! It was a perfect blend of many many food and drink tastings, city history, visiting sites of interest such as churches, city squares, monument, parks, the river's edge, and lots of walking (but not too much!) between neighborhoods. We went inside the oldest restaurant in the city and sampled cheese, jam, fish roe, baked goods and other sweets, (and maybe more!) and ended at a beautiful chocolate shop where we sipped cool chocolate and munched on chocolates while sitting on a cozy fabric-covered sofa in the shop's tea room - it was divine! Sitting down to a proper delicious lunch with local wines and enjoying the restaurant's daily special in an out-of-the-way restaurant made us feel like locals and not tourists. The whole day, in fact, didn't feel like we had an agenda, yet we covered a great deal and were neither lagging nor rushed. Virginie is a gem of a person: kind, intelligent, knowledgeable, easy to be around, truly interested in getting to know us, willing to share about life in Bordeaux, and a true professional. She even gave us a list of outdoor markets and restaurant suggestions which we followed and really enjoyed. My love for Bordeaux was heightened as a result of Virginie and the tour - the was a highlight of our multiple days in the city. Highly recommended - you will absolutely LOVE it!!!

  It was after watching the show "Échappées belles" that we decided to do the "Bordeaux food tour" (so it was a Belgian getaway 😅) during our stay. It's really great; if you're in Bordeaux, it's a super fun activity that combines historical discovery and tastings of local products. Plus, Virginie, the guide, is dynamic and super, super friendly! We had a great time with her 🥳😎 It's just rewarding to promote her activity. 🤩

  A discovery of historic and gourmet Bordeaux. A great experience with Virginie, who is passionate and dynamic. It felt like I was spending time with friends even though I didn't know the people on the food tour! It's the magic of the small group and Virginie's personality. I recommend it 100%!
