Porte Dijeaux Historic Monuments in Bordeaux

Built between 1748 and 1753, the Porte de Dijeaux is an 18th-century vestige located between Place Gambetta and Rue Sainte-Catherine, a pedestrian shopping street you can stroll along. Built of Frontenac stone, it features classical architecture and was the western gateway to Bordeaux in Roman times. Renovated in 2022, it was listed as a historic monument in 2021.
