Built in 1520 by the congregation of the Annonciade sisters, this building is one of the few Renaissance cloisters in Aquitaine. Located on rue Magendie, it has been home to the Aquitaine Department of Cultural Affairs since 1995, when the former chapel was restored. Open to the public only on Heritage Days, the Couvent des Annonciades retains its Romanesque architecture and half-moon portal.
