Grosse Cloche Historic Monuments in Bordeaux

One of Bordeaux's most emblematic landmarks is the Grosse Cloche! Located at the Porte Saint-Éloi, it towers over the gateway, a vestige of the city's ancient ramparts. Listed as a historic monument, it has been ringing in Bordeaux since the 13th century, and still rings 5 times a year and at noon on the 1st Sunday of every month.
