At Place Pey Berland, you can't miss the imposing bronze statue of Jacques Chaban Delmas. A famous figure in the city of Bordeaux, he was mayor for almost half a century, and Prime Minister between 1969 and 1972. Standing 3.20 metres high and weighing 1.1 kg, it was sculpted by Jean Cardot and inaugurated by Alain Juppé.
