- From June to September, the Le Transat guinguette, nestled in the heart of the Novotel Bordeaux Mérignac's wooded park, welcomes you all summer long in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.
  A true outdoor living space, it's the ideal place to enjoy the beautiful days in Mérignac, with friends, family or colleagues. Le Transat offers a varied program with DJ sets, happy hour, themed entertainment, and of course, its famous all-you-can-eat brazier evening, organized once a week. A friendly evening around a brazier, where meats, grilled vegetables and side dishes are served at will in a warm atmosphere under the garlands.

A pleasant stay with very friendly staff. The setting is pleasant, with a wooded park, games for the whole family, deckchairs, and a swimming pool. The restaurant next door is a plus. The only thing that needs to be improved is the rooms, especially the aging bathrooms that are no longer worthy of a 4-star hotel (bathroom seals, bathtub, wobbly faucets).

First room we get has a running toilet, so we asked for a different room. Then we get a room that wasn’t cleaned and there was no cleaning staff available at that time. Third room was further away and didn’t seem clean either. We got the first room, because there wasn’t another option, but we fixed the toilet ourselves as we’re not staying in a room with toilet running the whole time. (Ridiculous we had to fix a toilet at 4 star.) The lady at reception from there on kept saying ‘you again’. She was simply rude, while it’s not on me the rooms were presented this way. The day after I want to get a coffee, but no staff to be found. Eventually I find someone and he says ‘WAIT’ and walks into the kitchen. Made me not want a coffee anymore. The pool also looked nothing like the picture. It was ok, but not super clean and not well presented. All in all the beds were comfy, but the staff was rude, arrogant, discriminating and just not pleasant. For us it’s not worth the four stars. With four start I expected some customer service and not having to fix a toilet…
