The Cloître des Cordeliers, dating back to the 14th century and listed as a Historic Monument, is located in the heart of Saint-Émilion.
Since 1892, sparkling wines have been crafted here using the traditional method, within three kilometers of underground galleries.
From May to late August, the site becomes an unmissable festive meeting place:
- Friday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. – Jazz concert in the cloister, architectural lighting of the monument, food truck in the garden, and an intimate atmosphere as night falls.
- Saturday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. – DJ set in the heart of the cloister, ambient lighting, festive aperitif, cocktails, and picnics in a “chill” atmosphere with a sunset backdrop.
These evenings are entirely free and open to the public.
Outside of these summer events, the Cloître des Cordeliers also offers guided tours on foot or by electric tuk-tuk of its underground cellars, electric bike rentals, a wine-themed concept store, picnic basket-style dining, and a bar serving wines, cocktails, and spirits. The bar/restaurant is open 7 days a week, all day long.
