  I spent three weeks at this hostel, and after staying in several hostels in Bordeaux, I can say that this one is by far the best. The setting is warm and the decor is carefully crafted. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and understanding. Unlike some other hostels, the team is available 24/7, which is a real plus on a daily basis. The showers and beds are spotlessly clean, and the comfort is impeccable. The breakfast is generous, with a good balance of sweet and savory options. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to try the dishes on offer, but they looked delicious. A bonus: the place is very pleasant for working, quiet, and well-appointed.

  I stopped by, recently, and stayed in their 4-person dorm. I was impressed by many things! The cleanliness, customer service, furniture, wooden sliding doors that take the place of curtains and give privacy, shelves inside your cubicle, etc. There was one small thing that could possibly stand a second look. Maybe, a spit and a polish. Now, understand, I have zero experience in the business world. I haven't crunched any numbers, but I wonder how feasible it might be for them to add male only dorms to their current accommodation offerings. I don't know much about French culture and what I do know is probably wrong, but in my own country, the USA, we have something called 'the war between the sexes.' It indicates that men and women sometimes struggle to get along. Anyway, the owners can debate the topic, run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it.
