  A superb hotel! I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel where the staff is extremely caring and helpful. The decor is cozy and warm and the rooms are very clean. To my great delight I was upgraded to a suite and it was just wow!! A terrace, a jacuzzi, a comfort never experienced before! Thank you to the hotel team and also to staycation! I will come back!

  Excellent welcome, competent, young staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Spacious room, stunning decor. An excellent stopover in Bordeaux.

  I’ll give this a 4 star “rating” for a 3-star hotel. While classified as a 4-star on Google, it really shouldn’t be considered as such. With that said, this isn’t a knock on what FirstName offers, it’s just to manage expectations. The staff was friendly throughout my 5 nights staying. I enjoyed the location, it’s just on the outskirts of downtown. You can walk and be in the heart of everything in 10-15 minutes. It’s also conveniently located right at the Meriadeck Tram A stop. This stop runs to and from the airport, as well as downtown area. For 2 euros each way, a great option for cheap airport transportation. As for around the hotel, there seems to be some sort of revitalization going on, with a new park, cleaning up the general area. It’s something to note as there is a “work in progress” feel to it, which the hotel even has posters acknowledging it. Also directly across the street is an Auchan grocery store for picking up water, snacks, any other grocery items you may need. Overall, this was a good option for the price. Rooms were fine, standard European tight rooms. Room cleanliness in certain areas probably could use work. The very top of the bathroom vanity, and tv stand had dust. No refrigerators in the rooms but there are kitchenettes with a shared fridge on each floor if you are interested. For the money, FirstName is a pretty good option for being close to downtown, but again I don’t think it should be considered 4-Star.
