  Overall, a positive stay at Bloom Hostel, with some truly commendable aspects: despite an initial pricing error, the staff honored the price quoted over the phone. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff were lovely, kind, and attentive. The toilets were clean, the beds comfortable, and, most importantly, a private bathroom for the dorm. Unfortunately, the end of our stay spoiled the experience. We arrived late for breakfast (10:20 am instead of before 10:00 am), which we acknowledge, but the welcome was cold and unfriendly. Around 11:15 am, we ordered two homemade croque-monsieurs and a warm goat cheese salad, as indicated on their menu. When I finally asked for takeout, communication became difficult, and the person in charge was very unpleasant: irritated, slow, and unwilling to help. The salad was served on a plate that was impossible to take away, and we had to insist before any compensation was offered. All this in an atmosphere where we clearly felt we were inconveniencing them. Once on my train, I discovered that the croque-monsieur didn't match the recipe on the menu at all (no egg, no Comté cheese, different ingredients). My friend pointed this out on the spot, but they insisted that the menu didn't list those ingredients, even though the photo clearly showed otherwise. The result: €8 for a misleading croque-monsieur, and a very bad impression. It's a shame, because we were really close to giving it 5/5. The rest of the staff was impeccable, but the attitude of one person and the inconsistent preparation of their dishes marred our experience. As a professional in the industry and a manager, I believe it's essential to respect customers, even when they arrive late. It's fundamental, regardless of the establishment's level of service.
