  We have stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights before & then after our river cruise. Clean & tidy hotel & excellent staff who were happy to help in any way they could

  Minus 5 service I booked a stay at this hotel June 13-18 on Hotels.com with the higher pay-at-the hotel rate a few weeks ago for a conference. I received a 15% discount for the conference. I logged into Hotels.com and was surprised my reservation was cancelled. According to Hotels.com the hotel cancelled it. When I inquired why they said the hotel tried to do a pre authorization on my visa and it was declined. Well, yes - given the booking was pay at hotel. My card was on hold for a week & then it cleared off. Was it my visa or the hotel that did this? I was told they would fix this but the idea of the hotel not honouring my reservation unnerved me. I am travelling solo across continents & don’t want to risk being roomless. My suspicion is that they cancelled to up their price to take advantage of this large conference as price for the sane room is significantly more now, for the same dates!! Ridiculous. Regardless, I will never book with this corporation again & with Hotels.com either - who didn’t have the courtesy to email me the cancellation!! Thankfully I logged into to confirm location or I would shown up without a room. Awful service.

  I would like to express my sincere gratitude to your front desk team in Bordeaux. On May 24th at 16:40, we arrived at your hotel extremely tired and stressed. Due to the great success of your rugby team (congratulations!), the entire city was celebrating. We were unable to leave the old town of Bordeaux, and we had very little time left before our flight. The tram lines to the airport were not operating, no taxis were available, and Uber was not accepting rides. We were almost certain that we would miss our flight and lose our onward connections. In this difficult situation, your reception staff came to our aid. We were seated in a comfortable, cool lobby. A very kind lady ordered a taxi for us, even though we were not hotel guests. Another lady brought us a glass of cold water. It is worth noting that it was 35°C outside. I would like to congratulate you on having such wonderful and warm‑hearted people working at your hotel. My compliments also go to the hotel management for employing and appreciating such exceptional staff.
