  We celebrated our wedding at Château La Chèze, and the venue is wonderful. Everything was perfect. The staff took excellent care of us throughout our stay. The château itself boasts beautifully maintained grounds. The château is just a 2-minute walk from a bus stop that takes you to the train station. A huge thank you to Sophie for welcoming us to this estate and making our day perfect!

  The annex room at the castle was not worth the price. The mattress was too soft (I woke up with back pain), and be warned, you have to make your own bed because while the duvet cover is provided, you have to put the duvet on yourself! There were watermarks on the mirror, which raises questions about the cleanliness of the toilet. Unfortunately, I didn't have any disinfectant wipes with me. Then there was the restaurant—avoid it at all costs! It's a disgrace to serve such awful food, from appetizer to dessert! For the appetizer: three small, not-so-fresh langoustine tails placed on a plate. For the "crispy tuna" dish: the "crispy" bits were samosa pastry, and they arrived burnt, as was the outer leaf of the tiny piece of fennel that accompanied it. For the other dish: ricotta and spinach tortellini: they brought you five small ravioli swimming in vinaigrette and topped with a handful of rocket soaked in vinaigrette. The center of one of the ravioli was practically frozen, a second was cold, and the other three were lukewarm. Dessert: strawberry charlotte: total weight of the dessert approximately 30g!!! €32 for everything. You leave hungry and, above all, a little disgusted by the price paid for this food.

  I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Château la Chèze last September: this venue is magnificent!! The grounds are beautiful, and the park is incredible: it offers so many possibilities for a secular ceremony and the couple's photo shoot. And all this just 15 minutes from the center of Bordeaux! Special mention to Sophie, who is very attentive and available to both the bride and groom and the vendors. I highly recommend it, and I hope to return very soon! Manu Mayeur, Photographer
