- In the town of Bazas, Lac de la Prade is located at the eastern limit of Gironde lands, close to Lot-et-Garonne. It is an artificial lake, famous in Gironde for its ornithological reserve. You will see an exceptional colony of gray herons , but also other wading birds. Meadows surround the lake, making it easy to watch birds. An observation tower is accessible to contemplate them from above and take the measure of this site. You will also contemplate an interesting flora, including rare orchids . To avoid damaging the environment, trails have been built. A picnic area allows you to relax with your family, watching the birds from afar. You can also fish there.
