The Villandraut base offers canoe trips on the cool, calm waters of the Ciron River, in a shady setting that's especially welcome in summer. Trips range from one-hour excursions to full-day descents, which you can choose at the start based on your navigation map. The section from Villandraut is particularly pleasant thanks to its forest setting, small natural beaches, and unspoiled character—a recent review sums it up well: "lots of little surprises, lovely beaches, magnificent forest, very pleasant river." Open 7 days a week from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, from May to October, by reservation only.
