Showcolat: Bordeaux becomes the world capital of "Bean-To-Bar" chocolate in May!

Calling all foodies and curious minds! From May 1st to 3rd, 2026, the prestigious Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux will trade its financial attire for a cocoa-themed display. For its very first edition, the ShowColat festival promises a total immersion in the world of exceptional chocolate.

Far from industrial standards, this event celebrates the "Bean-to-Bar" movement, where the craftsman controls each step of the manufacturing process.

A world tour of flavors in the heart of Bordeaux

For three days, nearly 90 chocolatiers from all corners of the globe (Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Hawaii, Norway, etc.) gather at the Place de la Bourse. It's a unique opportunity to meet these passionate creators and taste chocolates with complex and authentic aromas.

Highlights not to be missed:

• The Immersive Museum: a 200 m² space to understand the entire journey of cocoa, from the tropical plantation to the crystallization of the chocolate bar.
• Venezuela in the spotlight: home of mythical cocoas, the country is the special guest of this edition with dedicated conferences and tastings.
• The International Chocolate Awards Final: on Saturday, May 2nd, Bordeaux will host the awards ceremony for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A true live "Oscars of Chocolate"!
• Escape Game "Chocolate Crime": a fun and chocolatey activity for young and old investigators.

Workshops and sensory experiences

The festival isn't just about tasting. Themed workshops (by reservation) will allow you to explore daring pairings:
