The Chef Samuel Zuccoloto and his wife Cristina, invite you to push the door of their restaurant Le Clos d'Augusta. Located near the barrier of Arès, not far from Mériadeck, its calm and soothing atmosphere will make you forget the fervor of the city. Come and enjoy a modern cuisine, inspired by traditional French recipes, almost family style, but presented in the manner of an authentic gastronomic restaurant. The plates are as sumptuous as paintings! With its soft, pastel tones and hushed, intimate and warm atmosphere, Le Clos d'Augusta is a restaurant where gourmets know they are in for a treat. Samuel, a chef for nearly 30 years, has traveled all over France to learn from great eclectic chefs. With Cristina, they opened this restaurant in 2003 with a pretty and welcoming green front. Push the door to discover a quiet place with a serene atmosphere. 9 large round tables can accommodate barely 25 covers: quality is preferred to quantity and the small team receives its customers with respect.
In the summertime, customers can sit on the terrace which is like a garden, a refreshing and welcome vegetal atmosphere in the urban tumult! The menu changes very regularly, Samuel likes to work with products according to their arrival and availability. He doesn't hesitate to revisit his menus to keep up with the seasons. What also changes regularly are the plates! The couple, passionate about beautiful dishes, regularly renews their collections and the motifs, materials and shapes inspire Samuel in the elaboration of his dishes.GASTRONOMIC MENUS, WELL-BALANCED FLAVORS
The Chef readily defines himself as a fan of old-fashioned cooking. He likes to emphasize flavors and give pride of place to the products, natural and without frills. He appreciates the beautiful meats, the fleshy and generous fish: easy to find from the producers of the region! The plates (copious) are very nicely prepared and refined. One will find a lot of femininity in this tasty cuisine, well balanced with original associations.
The wine list is admirably provided! You can choose from more than 250 references, for all budgets and following Cristina's advice. Wines from Bordeaux, Pessac, Médoc, Saint-Emilion, but also Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Chablis, Alsace... All combinations are possible.
Good news: vegetarians will be delighted to taste (on request) the delicious dishes that Samuel prepares for customers who do not eat meat or fish.
As for desserts, Le Clos d'Augusta offers homemade sorbets and ice creams, simple but delicious desserts with fruits, light ganaches, creamy creams ... Without forgetting the mignardises for the coffee!
