    • In the heart of Bordeaux, in the prestigious Pauillac wine region, lies Château Gaudin, a family estate rich in history and passion . Initially a modest 4-hectare vineyard, it was bequeathed to the family's great-great-grandfather in 1901 by Sieur Gaudin. In homage to this legacy, the family decided to retain the name of this property, which has since undergone remarkable growth, reaching today 10 hectares while remaining anchored in its family roots.

Château Gaudin is run by the grandmother and her granddaughter, who continue a winemaking tradition passed down from generation to generation. Together, they cultivate the vines with a deep respect for the land, traditional know-how and an unwavering passion for wine. Situated on the gravelly ridges of Saint-Lambert, this estate enjoys a privileged location, surrounded by renowned vineyards. The land, classified as a controlled designation of origin (AOC), offers excellent drainage and restores the heat of the sun, giving the grapes a unique richness.

The vines, with an average age of 45 years, are systematically renewed by co-planting. Harvesting and sorting are carried out manually, while winemaking follows traditional methods. The Château Gaudin grape varieties are composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 5% old grape varieties such as Carménère, Malbec and Petit Verdot, which contribute to the unique identity of the estate's wines.

The wines are aged meticulously, with 15 months of maturation in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new. The Réserve wine, emblematic of the estate, is distinguished by its fruit aromas such as blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry, enhanced by woody notes that bring a beautiful amplitude to the palate. As it ages, it evolves towards more complex flavors, while retaining a beautiful length thanks to the acidity of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Cuvée Collection, created in 2000 in memory of Mr. Pierre Bibian, represents the pinnacle of the Château's expertise. Selected from the finest plots, the grapes are carefully picked and sorted, then aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. This nectar is made entirely by hand (bottling, corking, packaging). This characterful wine, with complex notes of refined spices and wood, is presented in heavy, conical bottles, packaged in wooden cases.

Château Gaudin wines pair perfectly with red or white meats, game, cheeses, or can be enjoyed simply as an aperitif. Whether it is the Cuvée Collection or the Réserve, these typical Pauillac AOC wines deserve to be kept for 8 to 10 years to fully appreciate their tannic aromas at their peak. A visit to Château Gaudin is thus an invitation to discover the authenticity and passion of a family dedicated to the art of winemaking for over a century.
