The Margaux appellation encompasses vineyards but also an architectural heritage comprised of 18th-century châteaux, some of which are listed as historical monuments. It also boasts a landscape heritage that supports ecosystems whose balance depends on maintaining biodiversity beneficial to both fauna and flora.
Aware of this issue, since 2013 the winegrowers of the appellation have been engaged in a collective approach "Margaux Terroir of biodiversity" which aims to preserve and restore the diversity of environments.
We invite you to come and meet them; 15 castles and estates open their doors to you all year round and offer a varied range of visits, tastings, workshops and discovery tours.
