  The island belongs to the coastal conservatory, it is accessible by boat and for our part we had booked through the Blaye tourist office, the round trip as well as the visit to an accessible part of the island. The guide was excellent, he is a scientist and it was really great to walk with him. The island is maintained, an exhibition is visible, the habitats are restored (but no one lives there), there is a place to picnic. I highly recommend the visit (guided, of course!) to Ile Nouvelle! :-)

  A beautiful stroll in the estuary with a very friendly crew and the discovery of a site that is worth the trip. The citadel of Blaye or Cussac Fort Médoc can also be seen depending on the embarkation point. Very well equipped area for a picnic on the island with impeccable sanitary facilities

  I discovered this island...beautiful facilities... The site should be promoted....too bad...
