    • LES CORDELIERS have been producing sparkling wines in Saint-Emilion since 1892 according to the traditional method, in white and rosé, brut and demi-sec, in the underground cellars of the cloister of the Cordeliers.

The Cordeliers cloister, located in the heart of the medieval city of Saint-Emilion (33), is an architectural masterpiece dating from the 14th century. Listed as a Historic Monument and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the most famous buildings in Saint-Emilion.

Every year, it hosts 700,000 wine tourists within its walls, as well as numerous private events.

20 meters underground, in galleries 3 km long, LES CORDELIERS sparkling wines are produced.

Made from the most prestigious Bordeaux grape varieties and produced according to the traditional method known as "champenoise", LES CORDELIERS wines produce bubbles of extreme finesse and bring out their fruity aromas, all in flavor and lightness.

The estate offers guided tours of these underground quarries which are punctuated by a tasting of vintage cuvées.

The site has a wine, cocktail and spirits bar and offers a catering offer in the form of picnic baskets as well as an artisanal ice cream stand, all to be enjoyed in the shaded gardens.

Also take advantage of the "Cordeliers Breaks"!

These are convivial and relaxed electronic evenings during which a collective of DJs will mix.

      EVENING HOURS:
Afterwork evenings, free and open to all: (100% family friendly, 100% dog friendly)

      • Every Friday night from 7pm to 11pm
      • Every Saturday night from 5pm to 11pm

During these evenings, it is possible to enjoy a Cordeliers picnic basket, cocktails based on our crémant, or quite simply glasses of crémant.

Very good friendly staff here. After doing so many free tastings in Saint-Émilion, this place I find it most generous. Here, it's famous for their sparkling wines (not champagne but close enough). Fridge magnets start at €3 with many selections. Tours in English starts at 11am and 2pm. It's €12.50 each. It's about 3km so it's huge.

A great spot where you can pick up a local bottle of wine or bubbles and a picnic basket, and enjoy them in the grounds of an old cloisters that made up part of the old Abbey. Great place for a drink.

A brilliant experience - the tour by Sarah was super, very historic and interesting. We used the picnic basket offering for lunch and sat in the cloister which was a fabulous experience - we will definitely visit again when we come to France.

Terrific tour, in English, followed by a tasting of 3 wines, plus a macaroon. Our guide was excellent, as was her English. Very interesting, and lovely wines.

We didn't do any touring here, but we had a delightful picnic. There is a walk-up bar outside where you place your order. They put everything (glasses, napkins, cutlery, etc...) in a basket for us...
