Located in Bordeaux, at 34 rue de la Benauge, Substance is a neighborhood wine cellar that transforms into a wine bar when the weather is right, designed as a lively, accessible, and genuine space. Here, people come to have a drink, of course, but also to meet up, chat, and discover new things.

Our selection showcases carefully chosen wines, favoring committed winemakers and distinctive vintages. We love offering bottles with personality, whether they come from the Bordeaux region or other carefully selected terroirs. The idea isn't to impress, but to share. Each wine can be explained simply, recommended with precision, and enjoyed without pressure.

In the kitchen, we offer simple yet refined cuisine, focusing on presentation and cold dishes. Our charcuterie and cheese boards ( featuring local artisans ) are a perfect complement to our wines. We also offer a selection of spreads ( vegetarian options, pâtés, rillettes ), as well as quality canned goods such as anchovies and sardines, ideal for sharing with a glass of wine.
