    • LE PETIT COMMERCE, FISH AND OYSTER RESTAURANT IN THE HEART OF SAINT-PIERRE IN BORDEAUX

In the heart of Bordeaux's historic Saint-Pierre district, between Place du Parlement and Place Saint-Pierre, Le Petit Commerce is a must-visit seafood restaurant in the Gironde region. For years, this welcoming bistro has showcased fresh seafoodwild-caught fish delivered directly from the port of Arcachon and oysters from Cap-Ferret and the Médoc —in a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere typical of authentic Bordeaux establishments. It's the perfect spot for seafood lovers, couples on a getaway to Bordeaux, groups of friends sharing a seafood platter, or Bordeaux regulars looking for a truly authentic bistro. Recognized by the food press, notably Gault & Millau, the restaurant boasts over 1,500 Google reviews —a testament to its excellent reputation.

Wild fish from the port of Arcachon and oysters from the Bay

The strength of Le Petit Commerce lies in the freshness of its products. The chef works daily with wild-caught fish sourced directly from the port of Arcachon —pollock, meagre, John Dory, sea bream, monkfish, sole, turbot—respecting the season and the catch. Oysters from Cap-Ferret and the Médoc join shellfish and seafood (whelks, clams, razor clams, langoustines, shrimp) to create generous seafood platters regularly cited by visitors as some of the best in town. As for wine, the restaurant partners with the Bordeaux wine merchant LC Vins to offer a selection at accessible prices, including excellent white wines, ideal for pairing with seafood (Sancerre, Petit Chablis, Entre-deux-Mers).

A terrace and bistro in the heart of Saint-Pierre, open 7 days a week

Beyond the food, Le Petit Commerce cultivates the authentic atmosphere of Bordeaux cafés : a lively terrace on Rue du Parlement Saint-Pierre where you can sit and watch the city go by, a typical bistro dining room with its chalkboard menus and direct service, and a convivial atmosphere at any time of day. The restaurant is open 7 days a week, for lunch (12 pm-2:30 pm, 3 pm on weekends) and dinner (7 pm-10:30 pm, 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays) — a real advantage in the center of Bordeaux where many establishments close on Sundays.

Booking is strongly recommended, especially on weekends, by calling 05 56 79 76 58 or online.

Address: 22 rue du Parlement Saint-Pierre, 33000 Bordeaux.

A stop to be included in a discovery of the Saint-Pierre district, with its iconic squares, cafes and cobbled streets classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the Port of the Moon.
