  Superb bed and breakfast in a beautiful peaceful forest. Host was very nice and the dog Mac was very friendly also!

  Convenient enough stopping point but rather isolated. Breakfast was “ok”, seemed meagre.

  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND BOOK HERE - SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!! To begin with, I would have given this property 0 stars if I could! I had booked this property for a delayed honeymoon break in July this year. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit! I was following Government guidelines and watching carefully hoping it would be safe by the time my trip came around. I suffer from asthma and a heart condition so have had to be extra careful throughout the pandemic. Once it got to a month before my intended break I decided the risk was too much to travel. So, I contacted the property to see if they would be happy for me to move my dates if possible to next year (I had a couple of other properties booked throughout this period and they were more than happy to do this). I didn't want a refund as I still wanted to stay at this property another time. I contacted David at the property and explained my situation and this is where it all went downhill.... not only did his attitude absolutely stink but he said he could not do this and I would have to cancel - I had paid for the property in full and would loose all my money if I did! He claimed that I had waited to cancel at the last minute due to my 'personal convenience' - WELL IF YOU CALL MY HEALTH A PERSONAL CONVENIENCE then yeah!! We are currently going through an unprecedented ever changing situation and I was holding on in the case that I might be able to go on my honeymoon break I had actually saved 6 months for! Needless to say I had to cancel as I wasn't going to risk my health, but was absolutely devastated. I booked this via Booking.com and they tried to get my money back to no avail. David explained that he had to protect his business which I absolutely understand. But he had received full payment from me was not being flexible. I don't think treating your potential customers the way he has and being so rude IS PROTECTING HIS BUSINESS! I understand a month before doesn't give him much time to re-book the room. But the chances of him doing this at all throughout the last 3 months would have been pretty unlikely, due to the fact most of the world had been in lockdown!! He had my money he wasn't going to miss out, he could of had a heart during this difficult time and looked after his potential customers.... I predict the businesses that do this will come out on top at the other end of this difficult period. The property looked beautiful and I was really looking forward to staying but, I'm glad this has happened and I've found out the kind of person that runs this property before I got there as I'd rather eat my left foot than be around people like this!! Who knows one day I might be able to afford to book ANOTHER honeymoon break :( Like I said, don't waste your time, I'm sure theres equally nice properties run by better nicer people you can stay at. Such a shame...
