    • In the heart of Blaye, a 10-minute walk from the Vauban Citadel (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site), lies Le Clos Réaud: a tastefully restored 18th-century house set in a green setting of over 5,000 m2.

Our suites are all different, quiet, and close to the pool. Spacious (30 to 60m²), they all have large beds (160 or 180 cm) for optimal comfort. With some exceptions, they are air-conditioned and have an outdoor space. They are decorated with objects found during our travels or at local flea markets and combine the charm of the French Art de Vivre with modern, high-quality amenities.

Breakfast is, like us, convivial and generous. Our guests gather around a large table to discover our sweet and savory buffet and chat with our visitors from around the world. Those who prefer a romantic moment can enjoy it in the garden while listening to the birdsong.

Le Clos Réaud is ideal for relaxing : the pool area (heated in season) is protected from view by the shrubs of the landscaped garden and offers deckchairs, garden furniture, and bistro tables for you to spend as much or as little time as you like in the sun or shade. The jacuzzi, sauna, and a wide range of traditional Indian massages are available on site by reservation.

Whether you're looking for an original destination for a romantic weekend, or a unique vacation spot to explore the region, come see us for an exceptional stay combining culture, nature, and well-being.

      AN EXCEPTIONAL SETTING

Less than an hour from Bordeaux, Clos Réaud is an oasis in the heart of the city. Park your car in our secure parking lot and explore Blaye: the Citadel, wine bars, restaurants, the local market... everything is within walking distance.

The wooded and landscaped park offers multiple spaces where you can peacefully enjoy a glass of our wine or a board of wine. Enjoy an aperitif in a green setting.

      CHARMING ACCOMMODATION

Our accommodations have been designed to make you feel at home. Each suite has its own unique personality, but they all share high-end amenities and careful attention to the selection of linens, furniture, and decorative items, as well as the overall harmony of the room. Le Clos Réaud offers:

      • 8 double suites + 1 family suite (4 people)
      • Style and charm: unique decor in each suite
      • Comfort above all: Large beds (160 or 180 cm), air conditioning, walk-in showers, refrigerator, welcome tray...
      • Outdoor spaces for the majority of suites.

      WELL-BEING SERVICES ON SITE

      • Heated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal)
      • 6-seater indoor jacuzzi
      • 6-seater Scandinavian sauna

Le Clos Reaud was a best find for week long holiday in Gironde. The citadel of Blaye is majestic and the surroundings around River is just breathtaking. Le Clos Reaud is right in the town with the feel of the countryside. A real oasis!! A charming castle like house has all character and comfort with big size stone wall rooms which are beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The breakfast is a big buffet with plenty of choices with local produce. Our gentle and care taking hosts Stephane and Christine were there to help and advise us on places to visit and suggestions for restaurants. We had a wonderful curry which Stephane prepares himself and cherry on the cake was his most relaxing and rejuvenating Ayurvedic Massage. I had quite a bit of pain in my back and legs but after the massage I felt so so good. So Stephane’s massage is a must if you’re staying in Clos Reaud. I recommend highly to anybody to stay in Clos Reaud. Thank you so much Stephane and Christine

This is an amazing accomodation with a new propritor who makes a guest feel like they are imposing on his privacy! We were so uncomfortable that we stayed away all day and when we arrived back in the early evening and thought about having a drink before turning in we chose not to risk iritating our inn keeper who made it abundently clear that we were an imposition, not guests! When he aquired the property in April 2023 I fear he made a poor career choice. It's disappointing because the property is beautiful. If Stephane can find someone else to run it and if he can stay far from the guests this would be an incredible stay.
