    • The Château de la Verrière, a magnificent vineyard to visit in Gironde

Visiting a vineyard and tasting good products is what Alain and Dolorès offer you at Château de la Verrière, located in Landerrouat 1h30 from Bordeaux. In love with their terroir and passionate about their profession, they open the doors of the cellars to you with pleasure. Immerse yourself in the world of environmentally friendly producers, it's exciting.

Château de la Verrière, year-round wine tours near Bordeaux

Since 1960, the Bressette family has cultivated the vines and developed their process to obtain high quality wines. Previously on 14 hectares, they are now growing on 90 hectares of vineyards with modern equipment, respecting nature. Available and generous, they welcome you to the cellars from Monday to Friday for a guided tour and a free tasting. Groups are also welcome by appointment for 1 hour of captivating explanations. In October, you can even participate in the hand harvest over a few days where the picking and sorting of the grapes is carried out without machines. Learn, discover, help, taste, there are only good times to spend at Château de la Verrière.

The Château de la Verrière, a visit to a vineyard committed to the environment in Gironde

Alain and Dolorès are wine producers who value the land and nature to develop their ranges. Since 2011, they have been committed to a real environmental approach and do everything possible to protect the soil and the grapes. Limitation of yield, reasoned driving and reduction of pollutants have naturally led to organic farming, a label which will be official next year. Certified ISO 14001, HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), they are up to date on all points, from people to biodiversity. For a few years, they have even been harvesting forest honey with the installation of beehives in 2017, a product that you can find alongside wines and goodies in their producer shop. Make a detour, a visit is a must.

We have visited Chateau Verriere each time we stay in the Pellegrue area on holiday. Lovely team members, tasting and great value, quality product. We bought reds, whites and rose. We still have a few bottles to finish off before we visit again later this year. Very happy to recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Yesterday we went to buy wine at Château La Verrière, a very warm and professional welcome, a wine tasting, rosé, red excellent to drink in moderation. For barbecues this summer, this rosé wine will delight the meal. To discover and taste quickly. Thank you for your kindness. Rochelais with daughter near Bordeaux.
