June marks a highlight with the 11^th edition of the ODP Talence Festival, from June 11th to 14th, 2026. Created in 2015 by Sébastien Lussagnet, this festival is unique: all proceeds are donated to the Œuvre des Pupilles (Orphans' Fund) for the orphans of French firefighters. Pagaille Festival

Whilst the Pagaille Festival had already established itself as Bordeaux’s most irreverent event, it is set to make history in 2026. For this exceptional occasion, the festival is leaving its usual venue to take over the legendary Place des Quinconces. It is here, where Fréro Delavega gathered tens of thousands of fans for their final concert, that the legendary band The Cure has chosen to set up their amplifiers for a one-off performance on 28 August 2026. Seeing Robert Smith and his band perform at the foot of the Monument aux Girondins, in the majestic setting of the city centre, transforms this festival into a European pilgrimage.

This blend of Pagaille’s ‘indie fair’ spirit and the grandeur of the Quinconces is, without a doubt, the musical event of the decade in Gironde.

HOW TO GET THERE?

This is the beating heart of Bordeaux. Trams B and C (Quinconces stop) drop you off right at the entrance. The TBM network usually provides extra services at night for events like this.

If you’re coming by car, avoid the city centre at all costs. The Quinconces underground car park will likely be closed or full. Use the park-and-ride facilities (P+R) on the outskirts (Galin or Buttinière) and reach the centre by tram in under 15 minutes.

Created in 1997 by Ludovic Larbodie, what began as a small punk-rock festival has become a major event, attracting over 160,000 people. Its trademark? A "camping" atmosphere and a lineup that blends rap, rock, and electronic music, featuring artists like Gims, Major Lazer, PLK, and Bigflo & Oli.
